This is a quasi-judicial board (like the Zoning Board of Appeals), appointed by the Raymond Select-Board, which considers property tax abatement appeals of decisions by the Board of Assessors and hardship appeals of decisions by the Municipal Officers.  This Board traditionally meets on an as-need basis to consider appeals.

The Board is comprised of 3 regular members on staggered 3-year terms, and 2 alternate members also on staggered terms.  This board has several vacancies available for both regular and alternate members.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and reside in Raymond.   No previous board experience is necessary, but an interest or knowledge of real estate appraisal, tax law or other legal areas, land use development, or planning is a plus.

The Town is seeking residents to serve on its Comprehensive Plan Implementation Committee—a working committee focused on turning the Town’s Comprehensive Plan into real, measurable action.

The Comprehensive Plan reflects the community’s shared vision for the future. This committee’s role is to help ensure that vision is actively used to guide Town decisions, investments, and policies.

Committee members will help:
• Translate long-term plan goals into practical, achievable actions
• Review and recommend ordinances, policies, and capital projects that align with the Comprehensive Plan

The Town of Raymond is seeking proposals from qualified, licensed real estate brokers to provide professional services related to the marketing and sale of tax-acquired and/or surplus residential and commercial properties. The Town intends to establish a contractual relationship with one or more brokers to assist in the disposition of real property in accordance with Maine Revised Statutes, Title 36, §943-C (Sale of Foreclosed Property) and any other applicable municipal authority.
