Town Manager’s Office
The Town Manager’s Office is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Town of Raymond in accordance with Maine Title 30-A and the Town Manager form of government. The Town Manager serves as the chief administrative officer of the Town and is appointed by the Select Board.
Under state law, the Town Manager is responsible for implementing policies established by the Select Board, overseeing municipal departments and staff, preparing and administering the annual budget, and ensuring that Town services are delivered efficiently, transparently, and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The Town Manager also serves as the primary liaison between the Select Board, Town staff, and the public, and provides professional advice and recommendations to support informed decision-making.
The Town Manager’s Office is committed to responsive service, sound financial management, and the long-term operational stability of the Town.
About the Town Manager
Glenn Michalowski has served in public service since 2010. He began his career with the Essex County Parks Department in New Jersey and later worked in public transportation before entering municipal administration.
In 2018, Glenn became an Assistant Township Administrator in Maplewood, New Jersey, a full-service community of approximately 25,000 residents. In 2021, he and his wife relocated to the State of Maine, where they now live in Cumberland County with their two dogs.
In his free time, Glenn enjoys skiing, sailing, and fishing.
Glenn is serving as the Interim Town Manager for the Town of Raymond under a current contract through April 2025. He looks forward to serving the community and supporting the Select Board, Town staff, and residents during this period.
