Raymond Lions Club

Raymond Lions Club

The Raymond Lions Club meets on the first Thursday of each month at 9:00 AM at the Raymond Public Safety Building.

Founded in 1995, the Raymond Lions Club is a dedicated group of service-minded men and women committed to making Raymond a better place to live. As part of Lions Clubs International—the world’s largest service organization with over 1.4 million members in more than 170 countries—our members work locally and globally to support those in need.

Our Motto: We Serve

Community Impact
Since its founding, the Raymond Lions Club has proudly supported the community through a variety of initiatives, including:

  • Assisting the Raymond Village Library with projects such as building painting, donating a picnic table, and helping with parking during the bi-annual Raymond Garden Tour
  • Volunteering countless hours at the Raymond Food Pantry
  • Supporting the Raymond Elementary School reading challenge
  • Providing funding for monthly group music instruction for 5th and 6th grade brass students at Jordan-Small Middle School

Programs & Initiatives

Lions Club Scholarships
We offer annual scholarships to support both traditional and non-traditional students. Award amounts vary each year and are funded through the generosity of community members who donate bottles and cans to our collection sites.
Applications must be postmarked by May 15 and mailed to:

Vision Support
We are committed to improving vision care locally and globally. The club collects used eyeglasses for redistribution in developing countries, with donation boxes located at the Raymond Village Library and the Raymond Town Office.
We also provide financial assistance to qualifying Raymond residents for eye exams and eyeglasses through an application process.

Ongoing Bottle Drive
Our primary fundraiser is our year-round bottle drive. Collection sites are located at:

  • Raymond Town Hall parking lot (401 Webbs Mills Road)
  • Jordan Bay Animal Hospital (1242 Roosevelt Trail)

Proceeds are split between funding our scholarships and supporting local and regional organizations, including the Raymond Food Pantry, Raymond Village Library, Veterans Memorial Park, Raymond Fire & Rescue, and other nonprofit groups.

Get Involved
There is no limit to the need—and no limit to what can be accomplished when people come together for the common good.

If you are interested in participating in or supporting any of these efforts, please contact Lauren Wallace at 207-415-3901.
