Raymond Lions Club
Meetings held 1st Thursday of the month, 9AM, RAYMOND PUBLIC SAFETY building
The Raymond Lions Club, formed in 1995, is an active group of service minded men and women who want to make Raymond a better place to live by serving the community in a variety of ways. It is a part of the world’s largest, and most active service club organization, Lions Club International. Along with the more than 1.4 million members, they work with their fellow Lions in more than 170 countries and geographical areas to seek out and help the needy in their own communities, their country, and the world.
Our motto is “We Serve”. We are an active club sponsoring the following events annually:
Lions Club Scholarships: If you are interested in this scholarship, please fill out and return the 2026 Scholarship Application to: Raymond Lions Club PO Box 1057 Raymond ME 04071.
Applications must be postmarked no later than May 15, 2026. The amount to be awarded has yet to be determined and depends on the generosity of folks who donate cans and bottles to our collection sites.
Vision Support: We collect used eye glasses to reuse for people in Third World countries. There is a collection box in the Raymond Village Library and at the Raymond Town Office. We provide financial assistance to obtain eyeglasses or an eye exam for Raymond residents who qualify based on the application.
Ongoing Bottle Drive: Our primary fundraiser is our ongoing bottle drive. We have two bottle collection sites; Raymond Town Hall parking lot (401 Webbs Mills Rd) and the Jordan Bay Animal Hospital driveway(1242 Roosevelt Trl). Half the proceeds fund the Lions Club Scholarships and the other half goes to multiple organizations such as these Raymond based organizations: Raymond Food Pantry, Raymond Village Library, Veterans Memorial Park, Raymond Fire & Rescue, as well as many other regional non profit groups.
