Public Works Department

The Public Works Department maintains and improves the Town’s essential infrastructure, including roads, sidewalks, drainage systems, and public facilities. Our team works year-round to support the community through services such as snow removal, roadside mowing, stormwater management, and the upkeep of parks and public spaces. From daily maintenance to seasonal operations, Public Works is committed to keeping our town safe, clean, and accessible while delivering reliable, efficient service for all residents.

DO NOT EMAIL URGENT ROAD CONCERNS OR EMERGENCIES!

If you need to report unsafe road conditions due to imclement weather, please call Nathan or Cumberland County and speak to someone. During weather events it could be more than 48 hours before an email is seen.

Winter Sand & Salt Shed

The sand and salt shed on Plains Road (FL 89) will open on November 1st for Raymond residents needing sand for residential driveways. The shed is open Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., but will be closed during storms due to plow traffic.

A small wooden shed for resident use is located on the right side of the lot just inside the gate. Please note that all other areas of the Public Works yard are off-limits to the public. Residents may take no more than a couple of 5-gallon pails at a time.
