CODE ENFORCEMENT
The Raymond Code Enforcement Office is responsible for administering and enforcing the Town’s Land Use Ordinance, Shoreland Zoning provisions, and Floodplain Management Ordinance, as well as applicable State and Federal regulations that govern construction, land use, and environmental protection.
The department ensures compliance by reviewing plans prior to permitting and construction, issuing permits for building, electrical, plumbing, septic, and shoreland projects, and conducting inspections throughout the process to verify that all work meets required standards.
CODE ENFORCEMENT - BY APPOINTMENT ONLY
If you need to meet with a Code Enforcement Officer, please schedule an appointment in advance. During this busy season, the office is handling inspections, appointments, and processing permits for numerous spring projects, making it difficult to accommodate walk-ins.
To secure your time slot, please call the Administrative Assistant to schedule.
- Electrical and plumbing permits can be issued immediately; no appointment is needed.
- You do not need an appointment to visit the office or view a file.
- Schedule inspections, meetings, or request a return call with the Code Admin.
