Cemetery Plots
Cemetery plots are sold individually. The average plot size is 4 feet by 8 feet
Prices are as follows:
- Raymond residents: $400 per plot
- Non-residents: $1,000 per plot Multiple contiguous plots are considered a lot. Maps and diagrams for all cemeteries are available at the Town Clerk’s Office.
How to Purchase a Cemetery Plot
- Contact the Town Clerk to check availability and obtain a map of the cemetery section you’re interested in.
- After selecting the plot(s) you wish to purchase, the Town Clerk may request that the Sexton probe the area to ensure there is no ledge and that no existing, unrecorded burials are present (especially in older sections).
- If the plot(s) are approved for sale, visit the Town Office to complete payment. The Town Clerk will then prepare a conveyance document.
- It is recommended (though not required) that you record the conveyance with the Cumberland County Registry of Deeds for your records.

Raymond Village Cemetery – Mill Street - Limited availability
Riverside Cemetery – Plains Road - Limited availability
Raymond Hill Cemetery – Raymond Hill Road
There are 3 sections:
- Oldest section to the left of the church - No availability
- Section directly behind the church - roads 1-7 - Very limited availability
- New section - roads 8-16 - Lots available
